The Department of Prosthodontics at Dr. G.D.Pol Foundation’s Y.M.T. Dental College and Hospital focusses on the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with missing/damaged teeth and orofacial defects by using biocompatible artificial substitutes. We cater to the oral health of the elderly population with a wide array of services from the conventional removable complete dentures to full mouth rehabilitation with implants. Oral and facial defects can affect not only the functional but also the social and mental well-being of an individual. We specialize in rehabilitating such patients with an artificial prosthesis which can restore their confidence and assist them in returning to normal lives. We endorse a multi-disciplinary model for the management of nearly all TMD patients that includes patient education and self-care, cognitive behavioral intervention, pharmacotherapy, physical therapy, and orthopaedic appliance therapy (interocclusal splints).
At the Department of Prosthodontics, we redefine aesthetics with smile designing and restoration with ceramic laminates and veneers. State of the art technology and partnering with dental laboratories across the country help us provide you with a wide array of treatment options from simple crowns and bridges to complex implant-supported prostheses.
