BACHELOR of DENTAL SURGERY (BDS)

Under Graduation Admission

YMT Dental College has achieved a remarkable record ever since it was founded in the year 2000. The Institution was recognized by the Dental Council of India in 5th July, 2005. Presently we admit 100 students to the BDS Course every year.

Criteria for Admission to B.D.S. Course
  • Have completed 17 Years of age as on the 18th October of the Admission Year
  • Be medically fit to undergo the course and practice dentistry
  • Have passed the NEET examination or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages
  • Have secured 50% Marks in these three subjects and English taken together. However, for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the minimum marks are 40%
  • Admission to the course shall be based on the merit in the entrance test conducted by NEET

Procedure

Candidate should submit the application form along with the following certified copies:

  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET)
  • S.S.C. (10th Std.) Marks Card
  • H.S.C. (12th Std.) Marks Card
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • Blood Group Report
  • Migration Certificate by Board
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students should produce Caste & Income Certificate
  • Physical Fitness Certificate with marks of identification
  • 4 Passport size and 2 Stamp Size Photographs of student
  • Eligibility Certificate from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences(MUHS), Nashik
  • Passport & Visa copies in case of foreign students
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students should produce the Caste and Income Certificate issued by the Tahasildar for current academic year at the time of admission
  • OBC students should produce the concerned Certificate and Income Certificate from Tahasildar for current academic year at the time of admission
  • Photocopy of Student's PAN Card

FELLOWSHIP COURSES in 4 branches

1. ORAL IMPLANTOLOGY: YMT Dental College’s Academy of Implantology & Dental Research provides training to enrolled delegates in Implantology and also carry out research activity. Well-trained staff members with vast experience in the field of Implantology and who are competent enough to provide highest quality training to the students share their vision and experience in the novel field of Implantology. The department offers fellowship course affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences since 2014-2015. Duration of the course is one year and number of admissions are 10 students per year and is open to candidates with BDS degree from recognized institution.

2. PEDIATRIC AND RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY: A 1-year fellowship program in Restorative Pediatric Dentistry, the only one of its kind in India, is run in the department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry since 2019. The program is clinician focused and the department has completed 2 batches. The program is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.

3. ENDODONTICS: Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics conducts a 1 year Fellowship programme that commenced in the year 2019 under the able guidance of the mentors Dr. Vibha Hegde and Dr. Mrunalini Vaidya. The programme is meticulously designed to boost the dental skills in correct direction. Our mission is to offer a state of art Fellowship programme that enhances theoretical and clinical skills of the students. The Fellowship course in endodontics with an intake of 10 students per year is affiliated under prestigious MUHS, Nasik.

The Fellowship programme covers basics in Endodontics with special emphasis on Shaping and Cleaning protocols along with Obturation techniques. The programme familiarizes the students with magnification enhanced Rubber dam endodontics.

4. ADVANCED IMPLANTOLOGY: The University affiliated fellowship provides resources, support and professional mentorship to attain skills beyond the formal dental programme. The comprehensive approach to learning and skill acquisition is carried out by contact and distance learning through didactics, hands on models and patient management. Duration of the course is one year and number of admissions are 10 students per year and is open to candidates with BDS degree from recognized institution.
