Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. The Department went one step further this year by including an Organ Donation Awareness Campaign, in the hope of disseminating information and dispelling myths regarding organ donation. This campus was preceded by a lecture given by a man who's stature suited the grandeur of this occasion, Dr. A P. Chitre. With the vast majority of the college in attendance,the donation drive served as a reminder that charity does, indeed, begin at home. .

   

 

 

American Heart Association (AHA) approved and Certified Basic Life Support(BLS) Programme

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. It was a momentous day for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as they conducted its maiden … the very first American Heart Association approved and Certified Basic Life Support Course. The course met with an overwhelming response of 55 participants from the staff and interns,and many more had to be turned down in order to maintain the quality of the course, but with the assurance of a similar course in the near future. Sincere thanks to our Patrons – Dr. G.D. Pol, Dr.Kavita Pol Nalawade, Dr. Sarang Nalawade and our respected Dean Sir, Dr. Sharad Kokate for their constant support and encouragement . Heartiest Congratulations to the entire OMFS Team on giving YMTDC its very first AHA Approved and Certified BLS Programme. .

   

 


 

 

The Golden Jubilee Celebration Of The Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. The Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is celebrating its 50th year.....To commemorate this occasion Department of OMFS ,YMTDC, arranged a bike rally ,walkathon and adopted one petrol pump to create awareness on road safety and hazards of tobacco etc .All the 5 colleges from Navi Mumbai came together to YMTDC for a joint celebration.We appreciate the contribution of Oral Surgery YMTDC to this National AOMFS event....!!! Heartiest congratulations to the Head of the department Dr.Shreyas Gupte and his team of staff and postgraduates .

               

 


 

 

International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day 2019

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. Department of OMFS celebrated OMFS DAY on 13 th Feb 2019 with pride and grandeur. The occasion was graced by the Dean Dr.Meghna Vandekar Mam and the Heads of the various Departments. The major highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Departmental goals and vision. The signing of the NO TOBACCO PLEDGE by the patients,staff (both auxiliary as well as teaching )and the staff was indeed a novel and a noble idea.The pledge was handed over to the dean of the institution. An excellent thought provoking skit was performed by the PGs and interns. To commemorate the day an essay competition was organized on the topic "if I were an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon". It received excellent participation by the staff and the students.The department is also conducted a blood donation drive on 14th February. Truly a noble gesture! .

                               

 


 

 

A Blood Donation Drive on the occasion of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. Continuing the Tradition, OMFS Day, 2019 was celebrated with A BLOOD DONATION DRIVE and Organ Donation Awareness in association with Shrimad Rajchandra Love And Care Association.The noblest deed is to save Lives and who better than Surgeons to propogate the same! The participation was in large numbers from Under-graduates, Post-graduates, Staff Members who stepped forward to contribute in their own way to the society. Indeed, a splendid celebration of Humanity! Kudos to the HOD Dr. Shreyas Gupte & his team on keeping up with this noble tradition every year and continuing to give people a new ray of hope! .

       

 


 

 

Basic Suturing Techniques -A Skill Enhancement Hands-on Programme

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, proudly celebrates The International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th february. Dr. Shreyas Gupte, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Campaign on the 15th of February, 2018. The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, YMTDC in association with The Johnson & Johnson Team conducted a Workshop on “Basic Suturing Techniques -A Skill Enhancement Hands-on Programme.” Our esteemed OMFS team headed by Dr Shreyas Gupte and Speaker Dr Ananta Kulkarni MS, M.ch(Plastic Surgery), FRCS(Glasgow) enlightened young minds and trained them meticulously. There was an overwhelming response from interns,post-graduates and staff members. Each of them thoroughly enjoyed going back to preclinical knot boards and skin pads, learning intricate techniques. The workshop was recognised by The Maharashtra State Dental Council with an award of 5 CDE points. .
